How are you? Lately I started wondering about how many times people lie when they answer that question. I started to lie about it (again) a while ago.
The credit crunch hit home. I've got an apartment in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) but my "real" home where my parents life, is for sale now. I've lived there for 15 years and imagining that some other family will life there in a few months is really hard to think about. My family is very close, but my parents are trying to get a hold on themselves when my brother or me are around. It hurts me the most to see them in such big hurt and sadness.
But than again, I went to the cinema with some friends today to see a Dutch movie called "Komt een vrouw bij de dokter" (A woman visits the docter). It's about a couple who are happily in love but the woman gets breast cancer and in the end she dies.
It made me realise that it's horrible to lose our house, but my entire family and I are in good health and we love one another. Life gets hard sometimes, really hard and rough but as long as you've got hope and love.
Besides that, I've got the greatest boyfriend ever. Everytime I can't see the light, he'll just makes me smile. He's my light in the darkness. And I've got amazing friends who are always there for me when I need them, those are very rare lately.
My study is going bad, I'll lose my home and life will give me some punches. I'll go up and down, but I'll do it with love. Because I know for who I'm doing it. Mama, papa, Vin and all my dear friends: thanks for everything you do, thanks for who you are and I love you <3
